Palestine vs Israel — what side are you on?!?! 🇵🇸🇵🇸 🇮🇱🇮🇱

I'm a Palestinian Jew.

My dad is Christian Palestinian from Ramallah, where our family has 500+ years of recorded history. My mom comes from a family of Ashkenazi Jews from Ukraine.

I am proud to be both Palestinian and Jewish.

I’m writing this to deliver one message:

Palestinians and Jews can be allies, and used to coexist peacefully. Palestinians and Jews are similar people with similar cultures and similar values and similar history. Just look at me. Palestinian people and Jewish people need not be enemies. The conflict is a political problem.

So when someone asks you “What side are you on?!?” — do not accept that false binary.

As a Palestinian Jew, what I care about is Maximum Peace. Putting up one flag or the other on your profile I think misses the point.

I’m rooting for the path of Maximum Peace and I recommend you consider it as well ☮️ 🕊️
